Aims & Scope
The Korean Society of Vision Science has the objective to contribute to academic development of vision science, and the technical development of vision science all over the world as well as our country by distributing research results to the clinical setting through diverse studies related vision science. For this, the Korean Society of Vision Science also aims at developing new technologies and contributing to the improvement of eye health for the people and mankind through opening domestic and overseas academic conferences, publishing the official Korean Journal of Vision Science (KJVS), exchanging studies on the vision science field and promoting business and academic cooperation.
Research topics that are suitable for publication in KJVS include studies on vision science within the following field: visual optics, visual function, binocular function, contact lenses, ocular disease, vision and learning, vision therapy and materials for spectacles and vision aids. However, the topics covered by KJVS are not restricted to those mentioned above and encourages submission of research results in all other branches related to vision science.

The official title of the journal is ‘The Korean Journal of Vision Science’ and the abbreviated title is ‘Korean J. Vis. Sci.’
Year of launching (history)
The Korean Journal of Vision Science was launched in 1999.
Publication Issue
It contains original articles, case reports, review articles and short communications, etc. related to optometry and vision science. The journal of KJVS is published quarterly (March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31).

Publication fee
A page charge is effective for all manuscripts on original research. A review is exempt from page charges, provided it is approved in advance by the Editor-in-Chief. The actual charge per printed page will be notified to the author along with the manuscript for galley proofs.
